We received some disappointing news today. We did NOT pass court on 11/2. The Ministry of Women's Affairs did not finish their report in time for our court date. So we have been rescheduled for a 12/1 court date. This has never happened before that AGCI is aware of.
There are some things I'm taking heart in. Bear's birthfamily DID make it to court on 11/2 and testified. Since this is the least certain part of the process, it is reassuring to know that this is no longer pending in our case. Which makes the hearing on 12/1 mostly procedural. As long as the MOWA report is complete by 12/1, we will pass. It just means delay. It will be at least another month before we can bring our boy home, likely some time in January.
Ok, deep breath. Hold on a little longer.
I am so sorry for this delay. Prayers are with you as you wait some more.
ReplyDeleteThat really stinks. I am sorry that this happened to you guys but hopefully it won't delay you too much longer from getting your little guy.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about this. I can't imagine how disappointing that must be. We're praying for you. Let us know if we can do anything!!
ReplyDeleteUgh. I am sorry. I hope you hear good news on Dec 1st! I wish they could expedite embassy dates when MOWA slips up like this.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that there were others caught up in this. The waiting is so hard! We are praying that the wait goes quickly and the travel dates are scheduled soon after!
ReplyDeleteSooo disappointed for you. :( Hold on little one they are coming!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear this. What a big disappointment. Delays at this stage are certainly the hardest!
ReplyDeleteSince we don't have the birthfamily component, I've felt sure up until now that our case would be a breeze. Now more worries. . . It's so sad that this seems to be affecting so many famiies--hopefully something that will be resolved soon.
Praying you hear good news on the 1st--we could travel together after all.
xoxo
So sorry for the set back. I have found that there is usually unexpected blessings in these delays. We will be praying for excellent news on the first, and special blessings in the meantime.
